Conditions Treated

This type of specialty physical therapy started in the early 90s and has been growing ever since! Women’s and pelvic health specialists are often the problem solvers that gynecologist, urologists, midwives, obstetricians, oncologists, and other doctors call when confronted with a gender-specific musculoskeletal conditions.  Many of these issues can be difficult to discuss, have a negative impact on quality of life, and cause problems in the future if not addressed.

Amber Anderson, PT, DPT, CLT, WCS, describes what a women’s and pelvic health therapist does: “I specialize where the sexes are different. If a condition effects women differently than men, and vice versa, that’s where I can help!” She is the only residency trained, board certified specialist in a 4 hour drive of Baton Rouge.
